Horse Boarding
Horse Boarding

Every horse that calls Casaka Stables home will enjoy a horse boarding stable that stands above the rest. The care and comfort of all horses living at our Equestrian Centre is our number one priority:
The 18 Rai property features 3 stables with a total of 24 oversized stalls and 4 pony stalls. All horses enjoy spacious, well ventilated cool stables. Each stall has its own overhead fan and each stable block has an additional 4 industrial sized fans. Stalls are generously bedded and banked, either with chips or straw . They are cleaned twice daily and picked for droppings throughout the day. Water buckets are cleaned twice daily and regularly replenished with fresh clean water throughout the day.
Munching horses are healthy horses! Casaka Stables follows a strict feeding routine. Horses are fed at regular intervals throughout the day. We believe firmly in daily turnout. Our boarders may select whether their horse is turned out individually or in a group. Most horses do best with regular turnout. It is a very important part of their physical and mental wellness. Horses need to move!
Horses that have not been worked during the day are hand walked for an hour or our boarders may book a training session for their horse to get trained, so they stay fit and healthy.
We groom horses twice daily. When horses are shampooed or hosed down - we make sure they are completely dry before they are allowed to return to their stalls.

Our veterinarian support is Dr. Chumnan - retired vet consultant and horse lover & owner, who is close on hand for any emergency. There are regular vets visits by the Chiang Mai University - Big Animal Hospital. We also arrange farrier appointments on request.
Casaka Stables follows a strict protocol for allowing other horses on the property. This is a closed facility - only horses accepted for boarding and then with full medical clearance are allowed on the property.

Special Treatment Services
The horses' health and well being is our number one priority at Casaka Stables - We offer special treatments to meet the needs of every horse:
FlexBeam Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy helps the horse’s body optimize its energy to promote the healing effect - without heating up the tissue - and therefore reducing inflammation and encouraging recovery.
The FlexBeam light therapy therefore assists recovery by increasing circulation and oxygen - and regenerating cells faster and more efficiently.
Thai Herbal Compress Massage
Our specially made extra large sized compresses are made with a blend of traditional Thai herbs. The herbs in the compress possess properties that are anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent and antioxidant.
This warm compress massage is ideal for alleviating horse’s stiffness and tiredness, all types of pain, arthritis, some skin problems - and inducing deep relaxation.
Cranial Equine Performance Body Work
This is a unique, interactive method of equine bodywork performed by cranial therapist Frances Carrington. The horse responds to touch and energy on its body where the key junctions are holding accumulated tension/pain.
The benefits are release of tension in the horse’s body, relaxation and improved performance, suppleness, mobility & comfort.
Carrot Stretches
Carrot stretches are part of ground work. Various stretches help mobilize the intervertebral joints and strengthen the muscles of the neck, back, abdomen and pelvis that control the horse’s posture and balance.

They help to warm up before riding and achieve further movement mechanisms - this is an effective addition to daily training.
>> Appointments for horse acupuncture can be arranged and are performed by therapists from the Chiang Mai University - Big Animal Hospital.
